We are excited to announce that Rev. Dr. Lee Hinson-Hasty will be our guest Minister on Sunday, April 14, when we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Presbyterian Church of Radford
Dr. Hinson-Hasty recently made headline news when Union Presbyterian Seminary named him as the next Vice President for Advancement. He currently is the Sr. Director for Theological Education Funds Development as a Presbyterian Foundation.
Some of you may remember Dr. Hinson-Hasty, who led our University of Ministry Program here at PCR from 1989 to 1993. In particular, you may recall his gift for building enthusiasm among Radford University students while at PCR. You may remember his creative ways of attracting students (e.g., when he parked an RV at the edge of the RU campus to attract students and provide fellowship). Dr. Hinson-Hasty is a gifted advocate for theological education. He is a BA graduate of Wake Forest University and earned his M. Div. at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He received his D. Min. from McCormick Theological Seminary and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive. He has led the Campus Ministry (PCR), ministered as a hospital chaplain, guided churches in mission and worship, and served as Pastor.
Lee is a natural communicator known for his acumen in digital media. He is the host of the Leading Theologically podcast where he interviews leaders across the country both inside and outside the Presbyterian Church USA. As a trusted and wise conversation partner, Dr. Hinson-Hasty is called upon regularly as a strategist and confidant across the country in national, regional and local educational and ecclesial contexts. Lee is married to the Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Hinson-Hasty, Professor of Theology and Ethics at Union Presbyterian Seminary. They will reside in Charlotte, NC and have two children.
