The Chancel Choir, which is comprised of musicians from the congregation and from Radford University, leads the congregation in music during the worship service, and practices every Sunday morning prior to the worship service. The Bell Choir plays on special occasions, and practices twice a month on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8 pm. On occasion, there are visiting choirs from other localities as well as community choirs comprised of members from churches around the area.
The Presbyterian Church of Radford is fortunate to enjoy the music from around the area at its worship services and on other occasions. One of our favorites is String Theory, a local trio comprised of three members of our congregation — Bruce Mahin (guitar), Georgeanne Lavery (mandolin), and Steve Lavery (bass fiddle and harmonica).
